Dutch Vacation

well these past few weeks have been awesome fun!! so much fun, i think it shoudl be a movie, but i think i would be the only one who'd watch it...
well... last weekend, Claire, Tina, Marion, Kerri and i went to London for swap weekend #1 with the senior branches down there. it was alot of fun, even the 5 hour car ride it took to get there... i think our max speed was about 15 km/h on the 407!! lol oh well, we had fun singing, dancing and talking. that weekend, we went rock climbing (yes... even i did, although i got scared half way up, and had to come back down), and got out belayers certificate... it gives me an excuse to stay on the ground! we also went to the mall where we took a group picture with santa and the london guide store, and the St. Thomas Santa claus parade, which was alot of fun, but very cold! we also ate enough Timmy's to last a life time. we also went to western and took an accidental tour around campus looking for Katie and the swimming pool. i liked western... so... OLD, but not like waterloo 80s old, it was like castle-ish old. the only bad thing about that trip was the fact that the building we stayed in was heated by a wood stove, and so it was SO hot at night, TOO HOT TO SLEEP!! i didn't think it was possible... claire and i even resorted to putting our feet against the window to cool them off.... it was SO hot. i really didn[t need to bring a sleeping bag... i never used it!
this week, school wise was good, lots of fun lunch time adventures, and my math mark is drastically improving, which is a GREAT thing. no projects and no tests in the near future makes for a good time all round.
Thursday night was the chapters gig. i was there really early... so doug and i sat up at the front while killer brass was playing, and of course caswell made some remark about how only the die-hard fans sat that close... so i was like "yeah, we're their groupies" and "Dave, will you sign my ass??" it was great. MMBB played well, the trumpet section didn't have a mic though, so i had to blast my solo in jiver's liscence, but even still, no one heard it... and then we did have a mic for the in the mood solo, which i did NOT know i had until just then... oh well... Church street was mugh better, but by then i had no lip left, i might as well have not played. oh well, it was a great enening, and putting the band beside the erotica section made it all that much better. (haha Dutch Vacation)
Friday night was the festival of lights, and katie and anna and i walked around for a bit, we had to do a little evasion of caswell, but it wzas still alot of fun. then becca, alex, anna, katie and i came back to my house to watch signs and freak out at the aliens. it all made for a fun, yet chilly night.
Yesterday, i judged the santa claus parade with chris cooper, and then 3 toher men from the hospital, the economist and sun and the town. it was alot fo fun! best seats in the house for the parade. it was kind of coincedetal though that someone fell off the rogers truck just as the ambulance went by, so the ambulance had to stop and check her out. talk abotu good timing! kudos to the MDHS band who came in first in the band category, key club who came in 2nd for school groups and girl guides who came in 2nd for marching groups!! yay. it was a really good experinece.
then it was Nisha's party, whcih was alot of fun, random times.
then jon, carolyn and i went to see Harry Potter!! we were trying for the 815 show, but it was sold out, so we went for the 1030 show. so we went to indigo while we were waiting... it was alot of fun, and then movie was good, i cried. they took out alot, but for what they had in it, it was good! i already want to see it again.
friday is the Noisy Wheels of Joy concert! excited! too bad we're not playning October...
can't wait until christmas, all this snow is making me want to go skiing!
