MOSAIC MOSAIC MOSAIC!!!
OH MY GOODNESS. today has been an EXTREMELY good day. and to think, i was considering not going to school today. tsk tsk Kristen...
well... it started out EARLY, but good, as we had Jazz this morn(with my ROOMIE!), and i played well, considering we had band like 10 hours before. if i don't show any signs of improvement over how much i've been playing lately, i will explode. i really like the songs we're playing, and i'm excited about the OMEC performance.
anywhoo... after Jazz, was probably the best bio class yet, not only becuase we had fun drawing random things on our graphic organizer (i thought we escaped those.... unfortunatley not), and Ms Webb was in a particularly good mood, and we did protein synthesis which made EVERYTHING make sense... and i got it. i really like bio... too bad i can't say the same for chem.
which i unfortunately had, and a quiz, which gave me a lovely 69% to bring down my unusually high chem mark i worked so hard for. Stoopid "spelling counts"
anthro was a waste of a class. nisha and i handed in our proposal last day, so we basically had the period off. As was World History... man group dynamics are NOT pretty in this class, but i still like it.
Then... home to FINALLY start the LEAD homework i've been meaning to do since, oh you know, AUGUST. Yes, Kristen is getting a whopping 13% in LEAD right now (just a little drop from 94% last year) ha ha the only marks i've gotten are participation, which is funny cus i got one of the higher marks for saying NOTHING! oh how skewed LEAD is.
Then, I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER TO MOSAIC!!!!
ahhh i am so excited. well, for those who don't know, Guiding Mosaic is the international guiding camp that is going to be held in Guelph next July (similar to Peak, the camp i worked at this summer), and i applied a while back to be a Junior Leader, it was a friggin long application ("list all your travel and camp experiences both in and out of guiding, include modes of transportation, accomodations" Etc.) Anywhoo... i got accepted! which is awesome, and even though i don't knwo anyone who is Jr. Leadering with me, i can still make friends, and visit the people i do know (esp. Jo, who's coming all the way from calgary!), and the best part, is i work roughly half the time, on a whole bunch of different stuff, and the other half, i go on out trips, adventure trips, and i also have to take course type things... leadership courses... but its all worth it. It's going to be HUGE (maybe not as big as peak, but still HUGE for a camp... a couple thousand ppl probably). So... TRES EXCITED WOOOHOOO.
Then I had guides, and i got to work with the 2nd/3rd years to finish up the old program (stoopid program changes...grr....) and we did knots with licorice, it was tasty. and that was my day.
besides today, things have been hectic as usual, i really need a day off. but that will never come. the St. Aidans folks come this weekend! i am excited... except i have 2 girls, joanna and joanne, and they are BOTH Jo! ughh confusing. oh well, i'm sure they're nice, i'm really excited!! then on into RETREAT next week... gonna be a BLAST... hopefully better than last year (*cringes*) no more 10 ppl orgy rooms. i swear. then HALLOWEEN so excited, its gonna be a busy, yet FUN next 2 weeks. hopefully i survive.
