Wow... Long time no blog (Take 2)
well.. i pressed a button, and probably shoulnd't have, but anywhoo.... its been a while since i've had the chance to blog, its been hectic, but a fun past few weeks!
hmmm... halloween was good, Claire and i hit 50 houses by ourselves for halloween for hunger! it was amazing. we got more than 2 wagons full of food, all by our lonesomes. i'm really glad it went so well.
then, next up was SEMI, oh my goodness, so much fun. even put some things into motion... if an of you understand.(?) it was awesome, and i'm so glad i decided to go! no matter how late...
and that pertains to the next day, where i had to get up at 530 to get to school for 630 to go the the Ontario Music Educator's Conference with Church Street. it was alot of fun, even if we spent 6 hours on the bus (with the bus driver... FROM HELL) and only 5 hours at the conference. i slept most of the time on the bus, SO tired from Semi. but when we got there, we did our 20 chart performance, and LUCKILY, all of my solos got cut off, becuase i simply was not having a good improv day. we then got to walk around the place with honour band people, including Carolyn... i am still jealous. we got tons of free stuff though! it was SO much fun. and on the bus ride home, the bus driver got out of the bus and began walking around the bus with an axe in her hand... we were scared... and then she turned up the heat like crazy, i think she was trying to cook us!! lol all in all an amazing day!
the next day was the remembrance day ceremony thing, and i played last post... two times. it was ok thouhg, i didn't majorly screw up. i just had to freeze my ass off for 45 minutes during the rest of the ceremony standing there hugging a piece of metal.
Then Youth Awards Ceremony, it was fun, got to see danica again! and claire has new teeth!
On thurs, we went to Waterloo and Laurier, for LEAD. it was alot of fun. i really liked laurier, Ivan, Alicia, Alex and I tried to go see the dean of music, but there was honestly no one there, so we went to a business lecture for like half an hour... it was ok. we then left and went to one of the cafeterias and sat there for like 2 hours talking. it was ALOT of fun. we never ran out fo something to talk about. i really liked laurier, its small, which i like, and it has the program i want. Waterloo was a little less my type of university, and did not have any program for me. ( both my parents went there) it was really brown and big, and old. *crosses off list*
yesterday was fun, it was Student Cultural Association's movie night (my big fat greek wedding) it was fun, Alex Leahy and i sat in the back laughing and reciting all of the words. and Caleb almost broke my finger... he's mean. its STILL sore. but i was very glad for scott and andrea walking home with me becuase mr caswell's like "well, if they weren't walking with you, i would have offered you a ride home" OH MY GOODNESS, was i glad to have them waliking with me. awkward!
Birthday wishes to Katherine... too bad i missed the cake in Jazz... but i decorated her locker!! lol with the cover of the waterloo faculty of arts book... its still the most prettiful thing ever.
things are slowing down a bit, which is good, i can get my head around school and all that fun stuff. i'm glad for the November Doldrums this year, its a nice break.
