Muse Beast!

well... it certainly has been a while since i updated last. its not that I haven't had anything to blog about, more quite the contrary... too much to blog about in so little time. alot has happened since then, so bear with me.
Science Day- mmm... so many little Sparks and Brownies in so little time. There were, i think 45 kids, but it was great becuase all the Pathfinders did the work, and i just floated. I did end up with yeast all over me, after it had started reacting, and IT STINKS... so i stunk all day. The mad science guy they brought in in the afternoon was great. he was sooo... i guess... charismatic.

Valentines Day- aka the band day from hell. soooo much band packed into 24 hours. it started with music council, then class, then i had sectionals at both lunches (which very few people came to... grrr), then an hour with Chase Sanborn and MMBB, and an hour and a bit with Chase Sanborn and CSSM, then a bunch of us went out for sushi! it was SOO fun. we were running around like crazy, and we were ALL late for band cus the food was SLOW. oh man, Kat has never driven so fast!! It was just good clean fun. then two hours of band... hmm fun.

OBA!- the grade 11 band sounded great! woot. we got gold!!! musical leadership too! BEST BRASS!!!! thats exciting. we also got best band of the day, yet there were only 2 bands there. haha. Friday, i volunteered there, and i did sound recording, which was fun, Alicia and i sat there all day punching buttons and listening to bands. some were pretty horrible, some were pretty good. oh man... some breathed REALLY WIERDLY. cough*St.Mikes*cough. Then Wind Symphony OWNED it. we played really well. and Colin was our clinician... DOUBLE BONUS!!

Umoja- right after OBA, my family and Carolyn's family went to see Umoja, a musical, downtown. it was alright. alot of good music wasted on a horrible plot line. i was bored, my mom, however was practically crying/dancing in her seat. i really didn't think it was that good.

Nanny McPhee- I went and saw this with Claire... it was AMAZING!!! i really thought it was great. i WILL buy it. oh how i've become addicted to movies lately...

Monday- was yet another band day from hell... MMBB until 5, then MCB from 730 till 10... SOOOOOOO tired... not to mention we had a LEAD meeting early that morn.

Tuesday- yet another band day from hell... these seem to be getting more frequent... hmm. CSSM early in the morn, yet somehow still as enjoyeable as ever, then rugby after school, then BOTH MMBB and CSSM performed... man my chops were on FIRE after that... MMBB took silver, while i'd be surprised if CSSM didn't take gold. we played SO well. I LOVE dorian way.

Heart and Stroke!!- this was alot of fun, no matter how much work we put into it. i got to be heartly, and it was HOT in there. Sonika and I also did a route, and we met this guy who went to uni with caswell, and he told us that his nick name used to be Chuck after Chuck Mangione. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA i laughed SOOOO hard at that one becuase he still tries to put his mangione-ness upon us. it was funny. we also did very well with the MOOOLAH. YAY!!

Anne of Green Gables!- a very good production! not the best that i've seen from those guys, but still very good. it was funny cus i knew most of the cast and pit band. GOOOD STUFF.

SPAAAAAAAAA- so Carolyn and her mom, and my mom and i went to a spa this weekend. it was great. oh man. it was SOOO nice not to do anything for once. we did a Yoga Class, which was nothing short of hilarious, and we did a facial, which was SOOO relaxing, i think i fell asleep 3 times... mmm... soft skin. we also went in the hot tub... mmmmmm. and they had a henna demonstration, which i wouldn't have minded, but mothers had to do daughters and vice versa, so its...good. its also rather permanent and smelly. All in all, a great time.

And thats my life up to date. RUGBY TOUR IN 12 DAYS!!! i am sooooo friggen excited.
